suggest that Captain Archer will be taking his
dog, Porthos, with him on the starship.

DeForest Kelley (Leonard 'Bones' McCoy), Leonard

Kirk).
The speech
given by Zefram Cochrane as the Enterprise
departs spacedock for the first time is actually
a holographic recording. Cochrane taped the video
when they dedicated the facility to develop the

of the words spoken by Kirk in the classic
Original Series introduction.

Old Rumors
The
following picture was snapped on the Paramount
lot and gives a clue to the design of the new
Enterprise as well as the possible arm badges the
crew will wear.

The rumor is
the new Enterprise will look similar to the S.S.
Botany Bay, an old-style, pre-warp sleeper ship
used by Khan in "Space Seed".

- The Suliban's will be masters
of genetic engineering. This will eventually be
used to explain how some Klingons were engineered
not to have forehead ridges.
- Sub-Commander T'Pols uniform
will be different from the rest of the crews and
is rumored to make 7 of 9's outfit look like a
moo-moo.
- By the end of season one, time
travel will be used as a story line.
- Orion slave girls will make an
appearance in the first episode.
- Captain Archer will utter
"Oh Boy" by the end of the first
episode in another Quantum Leap tribute.
- Within the first five
episodes, there will be a storyline concerning
time travel involving Worf going back in time and
joining the Enterprise crew.
- A push to develop holodecks
will be crushed by Luddites on the crew.
- During the first season, the
crew will be possessed by an alien force at least
two times.
- The Doc will coin the phrase,
"He's dead Jon."
- Someone who is not a regular
cast member can wear a red shirt and last more
than five minutes on an away mission.
- Veteran 'Trek' guest actor
Vaughn Armstrong will increased his guest
starring role on Star Trek to 10 by appearing in
the pilot episode for ENTERPRISE.
- The character Lily Stone
(played by Alfre Woodard) from First Contact may
make an appearance as a much older woman on the
new series ENTERPRISE. The plotline
would center around either the naming of the
Enterprise or a possible Borg storyline.
- It is rumored that the middle
name of Captain Jonathan Archer will be Beckett
in honor of the Scott Bakula character Sam
Beckett from Quantum Leap.
- An freak accident during an
early episode will explain why future Starships
have no seatbelts.
- A male human crewmember of the
Enterprise will mate with a female Klingon
shortly after first contact. This will
be the first interspecies mating for
humans. The resulting child stays with
the Klingon mother after a tense standoff between
the humans and Klingons. An unforseen
consequence of this mating is that a dormant
human gene would enter the Klingon population
causing a mutation in which many Klingons are
born with human features.
